Our objective always is to realise the clients' requirements producing solutions which are suitable, innovative where appropriate, cost effective over the short and long term, and respect the environment and all the building users.

The practice was established in its current form in 1998, but is based upon over 70 years practice experience. Throughout this period we have developed to reflect the changing needs of our clients and cultural and technological changes.

The practice has recently completed projects ranging from £20k conservatory to a £10m office for the Inland Revenue.

Correct and timely consultation is vital to the success of any significant project and the advice and support we offer utilises our knowledge and experience. A large part of our work involves Government and/or European funding and we appreciate the need for accountability in the development of a project, and the need to achieve a spending profile within a set time-scale.

We always endeavour to produce a complete design solution that meets the needs of our clients in the present without compromising the needs of future generations. Of particular importance is our willingness to look to the needs of the particular project and not seek to impose previously implemented solutions. We will bring to a project an experienced and enthusiastic team that can develop an overall brief, establish a range of options leading to the development of a comprehensive design solution whilst meeting the demands of the programme.

OMF Derek Cox Architects operate management systems that are accredited for quality assurance under ISO 9001 and Investors in People.
