Since it¹s foundation in Liverpool in 1912, Weightman & Bullen has continued to build a firm reputation as a leading practice in the North West, opening its London office in 1979 and becoming a limited company in 1988. With a dedicated staff averaging 25 over the past three years (including Directors and Associates), the Practice typically designs, manages and oversees the construction of projects valued between £250,000 and £10,000,000 from initial client contact to completion and final hand-over.

The Practice offers clients a full range of architectural consultancy services operating in both the Public and Private Sectors, and has considerable experience in dealing with both National and Government bodies, particularly in the Education, Industrial and Medical Sectors. The Practice has nurtured strong working relationships with specialist consultancy services in other key fields such as acoustics and landscape design. At all stages of a given project, the Project Architect maintains close contact with their client to ensure full understanding and awareness of the progress of the job.

With the personal attention of a Director given to each project throughout its design and construction period, the Practice prides itself on ensuring that schemes are completed on time, within cost and to the satisfaction of the client/end user.

The Practice has Qualified Planning Supervisors both at Director level and on the staff to ensure understanding and compliance with the CDM Regulations. The Practice also employs its own Clerks of Works to monitor site operations in conjunction with the Project Architect.

The Practice is certified to BS EN ISO 9001: 1994 as a quality assured company, and has been on the DETR Constructionline register of approved Architectural Practices since 1992.
