Since the practice was established in 1961 we have provided integrated design services, on the basis that this provides added value to clients. We take single point responsibility for the design; integrated design optimises resources and solutions, minimises risk in the total process of a project, and releases the client from the task of co-ordinating disparate disciplines. Our key disciplines are architecture, civil, structural and building services engineering; other professions include town planning and urbanism, landscape architecture, interior, product and graphic design, lighting design and acoustics. We work across many sectors - cultural and leisure buildings, heritage and conservation, retail, urbanism, transport and infrastructure, advanced technology, industry, research and development, offices, healthcare, education, housing, defence, police and court facilities, and the public realm. BDP has 880 people in the UK and Ireland, making the practice the largest architect-led firm in the UK with turnover of £50m per annum.
