The company has grown out of the Ryder and Yates architectural practice which was established in Newcastle in the 1950s. In 1994 Peter Buchan and Mark Thompson took over the leadership of the company. Ryder designs and delivers education, healthcare, commercial, residential, masterplanning, infrastructure and interior design projects. Providing excellence in design and in client service underpins every aspect of our approach. For us this means constantly challenging norms, striving to raise standards of service, being evermore responsive to client needs and bringing the very best to each project in terms of knowledge, creative thinking and capability.
