Awards 2026

The Liverpool Architectural Society Awards 2026 celebrate excellence, innovation and ambition in the built environment across the Liverpool City Region. Showcasing outstanding architecture from the past two years – and looking ahead to the city’s future – the awards recognise projects that demonstrate design quality, social value and a meaningful contribution to place.

Open to architects, designers, clients and project teams, the awards seek the very best built and unbuilt work completed or developed between May 2024 and May 2026. From landmark commercial schemes and housing developments to community-focused projects and forward-thinking proposals, the LAS Awards highlight architecture that shapes how Liverpool lives, works and grows.

Projects may be submitted across six key categories:

  • Commercial Project
Offices, retail, bars, hotels and industrial buildings.

  • Housing Project
Multi-unit housing developments, apartments, high-rise residential and single new-build homes.

  • Small Project / Extension Project
New-build or refurbishment projects from any sector with a total construction cost under £500,000.

  • Community / Heritage Project
Buildings that enhance the local community, including education, culture, transport, health, sport and heritage-led projects.

  • Future of Liverpool
Unbuilt projects in any sector that will positively shape the Liverpool City Region, supported by a valid planning application or pre-application reference.

  • The Liverpool Practice Award – Impact Beyond the City

Celebrates an architectural practice with an office in the Liverpool City Region whose work demonstrates design excellence, innovation, and positive impact locally and across the wider UK. The award recognises practices that contribute meaningfully to the built environment at multiple scales, championing Liverpool as a base for high‑quality architecture with national influence.

Together, the Liverpool Architectural Society Awards 2026 offer a platform to celebrate design excellence, collaboration and the ideas that will define the region’s architectural future.
